Remember the days when basic office copiers were considered cutting-edge technology? If so, you’ll appreciate the 65-year evolution of the family owned and operated Gordon Flesch Company.

HOW WAS THE COMPANY STARTED?
In 1956, Gordon Flesch left the Royal Typewriter Co. to take over a small 3M dealership selling what was — at the time — a breakthrough technology, the Thermo-Fax copier. In those early days, Gordon Flesch sold and serviced the machines from the back of his car as the company’s sole employee. By the 1970s and 1980s, the Gordon Flesch Company expanded throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio to meet growing demands. Starting in 1976, Gordon’s sons John, Tom, and Bill joined the company to help lead it for another generation, followed by Gordon’s grandsons Patrick and Mark in 2006 and 2008.
