Three Children of GFC Associates Receive National BTA Scholarships

MADISON, WI – Gordon Flesch Company (GFC) is proud to announce that the Business Technology Association (BTA) has awarded scholarships to three children of GFC employees.
Ethan Reyes (son of GFC Customer Care Associate, Alex Reyes) is a sophomore at University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee where he is majoring in Architecture with a minor in Spanish. In addition, Ethan has been named to the Dean’s List, plays intermural soccer and enjoys playing tennis.
Ellen Dotzler (daughter of Elevity President, Jeff Dotzler) is a sophomore at the University of Iowa where she is double majoring in Accounting and Finance. She is currently involved in Women's Club Volleyball, the Tippie Business Honors Society, intramural basketball and volleyball, Women in Business and Dance Marathon.
Maddux DeWinter (son of Darrell DeWinter, GFC Account Executive) is a Freshman at the University of Nebraska - Omaha majoring in Aviation and plans to be a commercial pilot. He graduated from Union High School (La Porte City, IA) where he was President of his class, a member of National Honor Society and was a member of his school's baseball, tennis and basketball teams. Maddux was also the 2026 Bernie Saggau Award of Merit winner.
Each year, BTA awards scholarships to qualifying children of full-time employees of dealerships that are current BTA Retail Dealer members. Since the 1984-85 school year, BTA has presented 1,681 scholarships to deserving students, totaling $1.9975 million. Scholarship recipients are chosen each year by an impartial and independent evaluator.
BTA scholarships recognize academic achievement as well as extracurricular activity and community service.
In addition to participating in BTA and other programs, the Gordon J. Flesch Scholarship Program provides support to children of company associates. “The accomplishments of our associates’ children are a source of great pride for all of us at GFC. Scholarships like this recognize not only academic success, but also commitment, character and community involvement,” says Patrick Flesch, President & CEO of GFC. “We congratulate Ethan, Ellen and Maddux on this honor and wish them continued success as they pursue their educational goals.”
