TEAMWORK DRIVES SUCCESS AS THE MILWAUKEE BUCKS SCORE BIG WITH A GAME-READY PRINT FLEET FROM GFC
The Milwaukee Bucks are a professional basketball team located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The two-time World Champions call Fiserv Forum their home.
THE CHALLENGE
The Milwaukee Bucks were searching for a print fleet refresh to better align their equipment to their changing needs. This included a need for innovative printing solutions designed for game day, from a partner with hustle and expertise in designing a Managed Print plan for the future. In addition, a strategy for a flexible delivery schedule was needed to deliver the print fleet to the Bucks’ multiple locations.
THE SOLUTION
Gordon Flesch Company (GFC) listened to the needs of the Milwaukee Bucks staff and guided them through the print assessment process. This included the use of tools to assess printed page counts. The data generated from the assessment helped GFC design a print fleet equipped for both the Bucks’ everyday and game day needs. The recommended solution included locker room printers to support coaching workflows, office printers with finishing attachments (e.g. stapling, hole punching) and just-in-time toner replenishment for the entire print fleet, including a wide-format device used to print specialty signage for arena directions, announcements and special events.
THE RESULT
GFC established a rollout plan, then delivered and networked the equipment in stages, working around the Bucks’ busy schedule. This kept everyday operations on track and minimized disruptions. The Bucks also reported that the print fleet network configuration went exceptionally smooth due to GFC’s preparation, staging and open communications. Today, the Bucks enjoy the efficiency of a print fleet that can scale along with their needs, reporting that their biggest “win” is the peace of mind that comes from knowing that their printers are ready to roll—especially on event days when their printing volume significantly increases just like a high-scoring game.
"GFC’s print assessment helped us understand our ‘sweet spot’ for page count estimates, so that we landed right around our overage boundary line for better budgeting."
