We reuse
Older models of equipment are sold to wholesalers, who refurbish and sell them to overseas markets. Equipment that cannot be sold is stripped for parts, and any remaining materials are shipped to a recycling center.
We reduce
The Gordon Flesch Company has reduced energy usage in its offices by using energy-efficient equipment and installing new lighting in our 38,000-foot warehouse, which has cut our energy consumption in half.
We recycle
The health and vitality of the communities in which we live and work is a strong longtime focus of the Gordon Flesch Company. That's why we will continue to seek out new and innovative ways to lessen our impact on the environment—and provide energy-effective, earth-friendly office product solutions that help our customers do the same.
Toner Recycling Programs
If you use Canon equipment, you may be eligible to participate in their Toner Collection Program. According to Canon, over the course of 20 years of recycling, the program has reduced resource usage by a total of approximately 185,000 metric tons. This is equivalent to the material that would be required to build 90 brand new space shuttles.
Sharp has a similar program that allows users to recycle toner cartridges through prepaid return cartons and through partnerships with recycling centers nationwide.
