Bill and Debbie Flesch Fund Enchanted Backpack Delivery for West Chicago Students

MADISON, WI—Gordon Flesch Company (GFC) is honored to announce that Bill and Debbie Flesch have donated $10,000 to fund an Enchanted Backpack Mobile Van delivery. Bill is the Chief Development Officer at GFC and the son of founder Gordon Flesch who understood businesses could only thrive if the communities that surround them were also thriving.
On April 22nd, 2026, the Enchanted Backpack arrived at Wegner Elementary School in West Chicago, IL, delivering a year’s worth of brand-new school supplies for every student, plus books, art and athletic equipment, winter coats and much more.

We’re proud to support Enchanted Backpack and help ensure all children at Wegner Elementary are equipped for success.”
Annually, 20,000 students and 1,200 teachers are supported through the Enchanted Backpack Mobile Van Delivery program. In addition, through partnerships with outstanding teachers and administrators, Enchanted Backpack provides deeper community impact to qualifying schools through its Adopt-A-School, Pay It Forward, Teacher Appreciation and Washer/Dryer programs.

To-date, Enchanted Backpack has supported nearly 200,000 students in 400+ schools in Northern Illinois, Northwest Indiana and Florida.
