Medical Insurance
The Gordon Flesch Company offers a choice of two self-funded medical plans. The plan is administered through Employee Benefit Management Corp. Deductibles and co-pays may apply depending on usage of non-network or network PPO providers. This plan includes drug coverage. Premiums vary according to the coverage selected.
Dental Insurance
Illinois and Ohio Associates - Two (2) dental insurance plans are offered. Both have monthly premiums, but one includes a $1,000 maximum benefit per year with a $50 deductible. The other plan covers basic procedures at no charge, but does carry a co-pay that varies for each procedure done. The premium will vary depending upon the insurance plan you select.
Wisconsin and Indiana Associates - The GFC Dental plan has a $1,000 maximum benefit per year with a $50 annual deductible. The premium will vary depending upon the insurance plan you select and covers services such as cleanings, basic care, major care, and orthodontics.
Flexible Spending
We recognize that many costs can be out of control. That's why we offer both Health Care and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts. These plans allow participants to pledge, on a pre-tax basis, up to $2,000 per year to a Health Care Reimbursement Account and up to $5,000 per year to a Dependent Care Reimbursement Account.
Life Insurance
We value your life and know that the people closest to you do too. That's why we offer virtually free term and variable life insurance.
Regular full-time and regular part-time associates averaging at least thirty (30) hours per week are eligible for life and accidental death, dismemberment and loss of sight insurance. The plan provides term life insurance coverage equal to two hundred percent (200%) of the associate's annual salary.
You can even choose to increase your free coverage with our low-cost group supplemental policy. This policy is also available to purchase for your spouse and dependents. It provides protection over the period of time in which premiums are paid. Because it is purchased at low group rates and paid for through a payroll deduction, it's a simple and inexpensive type of life insurance. Coverage is available in increments of $10,000 up to 5x your salary to a maximum of $500,000.
Disability
Regular full-time and regular part-time associates working more than thirty (30) hours per week are eligible to enroll in our disability plans. The plans provide weekly benefits for any non-occupational illness or accident that prohibits the associate from working, as verified by a physician. Short-term disability is paid by the Gordon Flesch Company. An additional supplemental policy is also available to purchase to increase the benefits paid during a disability.
Long-Term Care
Regular full-time and regular part-time associates working more than twenty (20) hours per week may apply for Long-Term Care coverage. Long-Term Care coverage may be purchased at low group rates and is paid for through payroll deduction. Medical underwriting may be required, and extended family members may be eligible for the group rates.
401(k) Plan
The Gordon Flesch Company has established a 401(k) plan that is the envy of our industry. It will allow you to contribute up to 60% of your annual salary. Contributions can be made on a pre-tax basis. In addition, Roth 401(k) options will also allow you to contribute on an after-tax basis. Your total contributions (both pre-tax and after-tax) cannot exceed the maximum allowable under IRS rules. Associates become eligible to contribute to the plan after sixty (60) days of service.
Our exceptional match is based on your deferral, up to 9%. You immediately own the money GFC contributesthere is no vesting period!
Scholarship Tuition Program
The Gordon J. Flesch Scholarship Program was established for dependent children of associates of the Gordon Flesch Company to help and encourage their post high school studies. Under this program, an associate's child can receive financial assistance to use toward an accredited vocational-technical college or university.
Adoption Assistance Program
The Gordon Flesch Company provides eligible associates adoption assistance. A maximum of $2,500 per adopted child can be obtained to offset the costs associated with the adoption process. Such services covered under this program include legal fees, adoption agency fees, medical expenses, foster care costs, etc.
Prosperity Sharing Plan
The Prosperity Sharing Plan is a cash bonus program for full-time, permanent GFC associates. An associate becomes eligible for the plan on the first day of the fiscal year following ten (10) continuous years employment or five (5) continuous years in a supervisory position. The bonus, determined by the Board of Directors and based upon each fiscal year's success, is paid to eligible associates at the end of each fiscal year.
Trips!!!
Yes, we said trips! Our recent annual sales achievement trips, for you and a guest, have included destinations such as Italy, Spain, and Hawaii, as well as other lifetime destinations. We also recognize our non-sales associates with all-inclusive trips to places like Walt Disney World, Mexico, Jamaica, and other exciting spots.
