Triangle Community Ministry

The Triangle Community Ministry (TCM), an ecumenical ministry, was established in 1978 to provide a spiritual and holistic presence, a church without walls, ministering to the 350 people who reside in the Triangle neighborhood, most of whom suffer from physical disabilities, chronic mental illness, or addictions.

Through contributions and grant monies, TCM was able to hire a pastor and a nurse to be of direct service to the residents. Pastoral care consists of meaningful rituals, prayer, and grief counseling that is consistent with each individual’s spirituality.

The pastor also conducts a bi-polar and depression support group based on the national methodology of the “Heroe's Journey” that affirms the need for support and companionship amongst people who have been living their lives with mental health challenges and isolation.

The award of $2,500 will provide funds to support the "Hero's Journey" counseling group and grief and bereavement counseling for community members.
